   Great idea! I’m not sure why they don’t want to do this though….maybe the production of such a packet would cost too much?

   Buy aren’t the machines run by a tobacco/fag company who wouldn’t want these gums/patches selling alongside their precious products?

   Maybe just getting pubs/clubs to put packets up behind the bar for people to buy would work?

   Good idea, but if you stock the machines yourself you could always get your own packaging made up and fill it with a mix of products.

   I have a client who distributes to the pubs/clubs/bingo halls/ betting shops and have asked if they can locate a suitable machine for this. I am currently in the process of assiting in the marketing of products to allow people to gamble while smoking outside the premises but this could be costly or impractical for smaller venues. The idea that people could have some respite from the desire to smoke while they gamble or drink has some great potential.

   I think the nicorette type gum and patches machines are a great idea for the smoker. But the down side is - there would be a massive increase in chewing gum stuck to carpets, flooring and people’s shoes. And I can think of nothing else that has the ability to stand out and be light coloured when it’s on a dark surface and dark coloured when it’s on a light surface !!! Chewing gum can be an awkward and time consuming thing to remove properly.

   But then again there’s a money making opportunity there for someone - and it’s one of the things we do…

   Having visited the nighclub in question a number of years ago and been the victim of an unsolicited assault I would suggest stocking the machine with Toppers branded bandages, plasters and eye patches!

   They could carry little slogans like, “I survived Toppers,” or similar….

   There are a number of vending machines that could handle the varied types of packets, However these are not all suitable for the environments proposed. Those that are suitable (in respect of security) have the problems of siting. Old cigarette vending machines could be adapted and there are now a few of those going begging!!

   Gum could be a problem but the patches would work well. The issue is marketing and the message portrayed to get people to utilise the product.

   I also thought about this at the airport i work at, as from today there is no smoking in the Airside area, including Departures. If people are delayed etc the smokers will be getting a bit of a withdrawal. nicorette gum and patches in vending machines would make a shed load of money. In fact I have emailed a link to this page to the airport manager.

   I think the idea is very good. It isn’t very protectable though, so be quick to be the first mover. Can’t you find a white-label producer of these gums? More risk more glory…

    I had this idea myself ages ago, about putting NRT vending machines in Pubs/Clubs etc, but didn’t know how to go about doing it. Don’t forget about inhilators aswell. Some already come in a kind of cigarette carton shaped box. I wish I’d done something about this when I’d had the idea!!!

    So far the machines are proving to be very popular with over 100 machines curently installed

    Thought of this a few months ago.My idea was to vend single pieces of gum or lozengers,The packets of 20 or so are very expensive, and it would be good to be able to buy a single one ,just to take the edge off.

    I have Products that vending in cigarette vending,Mouth Spray,Hair Spray,Deodorant Sparay. By end for 2008 will have 10 Products inculding Nicotine Spray.All Travel pack are 15ml size & Aloud on Airplanes.
