   Virgin America is already on it: movies on demand, satellite tv, mp3 jukebox, in-flight IM to other passengers, games with a controller at your seat, etc.

   You can read about what they are doing and where they are headed on their web site. Unfortunately, the in-flight entertainment details are buried in a whizzy Flash bit and are not easily linkable. You’ll need to click around:

   They’re set up for in-flight broadband in the future–though I’m not quite sure I want to be that connected!

   Not “Snakes on a Plane”, Quake on a plane!
   Good idea, especially on long flights.

   I’m not too sure about the speed/blind date thing, but using the profile idea I can see a good oppurtunity for business networking, which would be cool.

   I seem to recall Singapore airlines having the ability to game against each other a few years ago.

   I was on a Virgin flight once where a couple of passengers were kicking up a real stink because their in flight gadgets weren’t working, it was very unpleasant for the crew. Personally all the entertainment I need is a good book. Can we no longer live without being ‘entertained’ for a few ours?

   sounds like a great idea they would probley only do it in first class though because it sounds expensive
